Great thoughts. Would that we'...Hey Heather, <br /><br />Great thoughts. Would that we'd remember that the fear of the LORD is a good thing. It is married to the ideas of awe and reverence, like you said. It's hard to imagine how this looks, like you said, because no matter how much I love my best friends and hommies, "awe and reverence" are not usually two words I'd use in describing them. =) A better understanding of his transcendence and immanence would be one way to appreciate more fully, what it means to fear the LORD.
